What you need to drive in Cyprus
Your licence
EU, EEA and UK licences are accepted for visitors with no International Driving Permit needed. If your licence is not in the Latin alphabet, an International Driving Permit is recommended so it is easy to read.
Age
You must hold a valid full driving licence.
Driving on the left
Cyprus drives on the left, with the steering wheel on the right. It feels natural within a few minutes. Speed limits are usually 50 in towns, 80 on open roads and 100 on the motorway, all in km/h.
